Halloween

It's that time of year again. Time for kick ass halloween parties in Orlando. My super-top-secret costume shall remain a secret untill after the party, so I can make my grand entrance. I'll try and get pics to show the full awesomeness of it's design and implementation.

In other news, what I'm doing at work is getting more interesting, I just hope we can get this move over and done with so I can stare out the window at the sea instead of at the traffic outside.

Parking Lot

Even though they haven't fininshed rebuilding my parking lot, they have let us park there again. And what car would be parked there to greet me? Why a brand new shiny Rolls-Royce Phantom of course! But are they really allowing us to park here again? I'll find out for sure tomorrow morning if my car is towed.

In other news my boss says I can't listen to Radio 1 at work anymore becuase it gives my computer priority on the network or some other bollocks excuse like that. Sorry, I'm not buying it, and now I have to wait untill we moved into our swanky new office before I can listen again. And it had to happen when the brilliant Sara Cox is doing the drivetime show.

Xander's here!

My cousin Xander is here from Holland. Last night we went down Ocean Drive and saw everything you're supposed to see on South Beach. Except Paris Hilton, which is probably a good thing.

I asked for a raise at work to help cover debts and future purchases, so lets see how long it takes. Hopefully a lot longer than Panera Bread took, which was never. Although we are moving offices, but its further away. It looks like my old company is going there too, so I might be able to ride the van again.

And we saw another Mercedes SLR McLaren. That's number three for me, and it's still hot.

Fall TV

Not having my laptop for so long, I watched more tv. Which felt strange as I hadn't watched tv seriously since I lived in the dorms at UCF. I've gotten into MTV's 'Two-A-Days', which is great becuase since my high school didn't care about it's football team, this lets me see what life is like in a school that the whole town revolves around it. As for network tv, I watch 'Studio 60', 'Grey's Anatomy' (of course), I just finished watching '30 Rock' (which was better than I thought) and I loved 'Smith'. Yeah, 'Smith' got cancelled after two episodes.

Why? Who doesn't love a show with Ray Liotta, Franky G, Amy Smart, and some British guy as bank robbers with fancy cars? Apparently not many people. Still, I've finally started watching the really messed up 'Nip/Tuck', and when it comes back, I'd love to catch up watching 'Resuce Me', which I've missed for about two years. Just becuase I really like Dennis Leary's other show 'The Job' which also got cancelled after like three episodes.

And I can't get that Lotus Elise out of my head.

Auto Show 2006

Mike's here and we just got back from the 2006 South Florida International Auto Show. Here's our impressions:

Richard
Car of the Show - Jaguar XK
Most to-the-point interior - Audi S4
Pleasant Suprise - Chrysler 300 (it's actually good!)
Unpleasnt Suprise - BMW M5 (the interior is crap)
Car that felt like it was going to zoom through the window when I was sitting in it and I HAVE to buy - Lotus Elise.

Mike
I liked the Saabs and some other car I sat it but don't remember, but it had paddle shifts.

So there we have it. Oh and I got put in my place by a blond lady at the Audi booth when I asked why the S8 and A8 W12 both have 450hp (the S8 is shorter, lower, and louder). And we saw a woman who looked like Elizabeth Shue of Hollow Man and Back to the Future 2&3 fame.

Mike says I should mention that the bus drove right past us while the bus driver just started at us standing at the bus stop.

It's back!

My laptop has made its might return from the shop with a new motherboard and has been completely cleaned. I've made a little laptop stand out of plastic cups to give it more ventilaton underneth as I don't want it overheating again, and I'm not sure if they make those laptop cooling stations for my model laptop.

Oh it feels so good to be reconnected with the rest of the world. What would the world do without computers? Probably go outside and play more.
