On Holiday

I'm off to Miami on wednesday. Scott's getting married this weekend, so I'm going to be popping up to Orlando as well. And New York. It's all go.

Here in Lymington, the circus is in town. Which means weird people showing up at the pub...

The Greater Good

I went to my first meeting of the local "pressure group". I was really hoping it was going to be like the N.W.A. from 'Hot Fuzz' but instead it turned into another episode of 'spot the person without grey hair'. I got the meet the chap renovating the Forest Heath in Sway, and he seems really cool.

I think they looked at me with suspicion at first, but when I voiced my opinion against the new pub in the high street, I got several "here, here"s from the silver haired crowd.

So now I can finally say for real: just like Snoop Dogg himself, I'm "internationally known and locally respected".

Apocalypse Japan

For the second time in less than a hundred years, Japan is facing a catastrophic nuclear disaster. On top of a 30ft tidal wave and the worst earthquake in their history.

But for humanity's sake, it's a good thing it happened to them and not someone else. Notice how they go about their business in a calm, respectable manner. Katrina shows how well the U.S. handles just one devistating natural disaster, and I dread to think what England would do. Blame it on the Poles and then use it as an excuse for a riot probably...

High School Reunion

Hallandale's having it's ten year reunion this summer, but they thought it would be proper to charge $185 to attend. Plus the $1,200 I would have to shell out to get there.

Sorry. If I really wanted to find out what happened to everyone that bad, I'll join Facebook.

Hampshire Honours

Looks like Hampshire took Hollywood by storm at the Oscars last sunday. Colin Firth is from Grayshott, and Christian Bale (Batman himself) grew up in Bournemouth.

Admitted, Grayshott is right on the border and Bournemouth hasn't been a part of Hampshire since 1974, but never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
