Like A Happy Dog

Last friday, I met up with my friends from my old job in Bournemouth. After trying to figure out the weird ways my new company works, and my new coworkers not getting my humour at all, as you'd expect I was very happy to see my old chums. Very happy. I was like one of those dogs in the videos when soldiers come home.

Out Of Touch

I just had a quick glance at the top 10 songs on the pop music chart. I didn't know any of them. Ever since Chris Moyles went off the air, I have stopped listening to mainstream radio.

I think this marks the first time since the late 80s that I don't know a single song in the top ten in either England or America. And I'm not really bothered by it. It's not so much that the music is bad, it's just that I have no desire to listen to it. I think at this point in my life, I know what kind of music I like and where to find it.

Shaving

I've been shaving for about fifteen years now, but I still can't get the hang of it. Every single time, I get to work and realize I missed a massive patch of hair under my chin or next to my mouth. Even when I think I've covered everything, some hairs manage to sneak through. Like crazed fans at a Beatles concert.

Job Adjustments

Since I've started my new job, I realized just how different it is working at a small outfit, as opposed to a large(ish) company. The last time I worked for a boutique agency was way back on South Beach, and the guy running it had years of experience and really took me under his wing.

This time around the guys are all younger than me, which freaks me out, and none of them have any experience outside of this company, or for any large clients. I'm now trying to find ways of brining things up to where I feel comfortable, but without "rocking the boat" too much.
