In the Ghetto

Guess who broke down on the freeway... in the middle of the ghetto!

That's right, everyone's favorite adventurer, me!

My car overheated on the way home today, and was leaking coolant. But then when the engine cooled off, the coolant level seemed to go back up, so I have to wake up insanly early tomorrow to take it to the garage and get it fixed. I hope it isn't too expensive.

To be honest, I might as well leave it there, as my boss's mother-in-law reversed into me about three weeks ago and I need body work done as well.

Really gross

I just had a fight with a roach the size of a hamster.

It ended with me spraying it with bleach cleaner, and he fell into an empty cereal box. I though it was dead, but when I went to put the box outside, it was still alive!

I just hope he hasn't found a way to get back in. I'm not even sure how he got in the first time. I thought Panera and Orlando had cured me of my bug phobia, but that one was in a league of it's own. I thought bugs that size were only in Africa. I thought wrong.

My 7 year old self would be overjoyed

My friends and I always wondered what we would take back in time to impress the hell out of people. Scott wanted to take 'Rouge Leader' for Gamecube to show people who had just walked out of the first Star Wars movie. After today, there is no doubt what I would take back to show my seven year old self.

Dun-DUN

It's like they read my mind on how to make the perfect 'Turtles' movie. Transformers has a lot to live up to now, but with Mr. Bay at the helm, I don't think they're up for it.

100th Post

This is my 100th entry, clocking in at about a year and two months after I started. I'm in a slightly different postion and location to where I was last year, so who knows where I'm going to be and what I'm going to be doing when I reach 200 posts some time next year. So long as it's something exciting!

By the way, I went downtown today and got lost. The Beach is way better!

No plans for final day

Stay in bed, drift away. It could have been all songs in the street it was nearly complete it was nearly so sweet...

Still, I've got nothing against Italy. What with the football scandal over there, I'm glad they won, cheer them up a bit.

I've got the next two weeks off, so rather than spend every day relaxing on the beach and taking it easy after a hectic year, I'm going to look for a little earner to do untill I go back to work. I'll see if I can do a bit for the local dance music channel maybe.

Kaboom

As I was walking off the beach after the fireworks show, I found myself glad that I didn't drive there, as I have several memories involving hours spent trying to get out of parking garages by the beach after 4th of July fireworks.

I had a front row seat for this year's, and it seemed like Key Biscayne and South Beach we're trying to compete with each other. I think we won. By the time it was over, the firework launchers were all ablaze like an oilfield and the entire region of South Beach was covered in fireworks smoke. Ocean Drive was at a standstill with people pouring off the beach, not caring that the cars had a green light. People in the cars were angry, but it's their own fault I suppose. What did they think was going to happen?

It's only a game

Or so they say.

Maybe we're just a quarter-final side? Whatever the reason may be, if we didn't win it now, we're probably not going to get another chance for a very long time. Now we wait for Euro '08.

Mum comes back today, and I'm just going to have a shower and get dressed and go meet her at the airport. No doubt the captain has informed his passengers of the news...
