Best Commute

I've got a great commute. It's just long enough to give me time to stop off at the supermarket, but short enough that I can casually stroll down the road like Gene Kelly. The smell from the police horse department next door is a bit interesting though.

And the cleaners threw out my fancy beer bottle again. I would of thought a sign saying "do not throw out" was pretty clear. I guess I was wrong.

Top Gear's Girls

If you watch the mighty 'Top Gear' (which, as the most popular program in the world, you do) you can't help but notice in the last few years they've been putting the girls at the front of the audience. I like that kind of blatant sexism and the fact that no one complains. Being a bit of a boys' club, Top Gear can get away with just about anything. Like interviewing Sienna Miller.

Being a pop culture fan, I know her history and why every woman in the world doesn't like her, but over at Top Gear, those things don't matter. What matters is the fact that she attractive, charming, and drove a funny lap. Long live Top Gear!

Sports!

The Ashes is going on. Because I don't have a tv, I'm not really following it, but I'm assuming England are doing crap. Mark Webber won the German Grand Prix over the weekend as well, so it looks like the Aussies are beating us on all fronts. They've even qualified for the World Cup before we did. Although, they do have a bit less competition. I think next year's tournament is going to be great!

I think every Saints fan in the whole world is breathing a huge sigh of relief.

I Guess

Happy 4th of July, I guess. I say that, because they don't really have an independence day over here. If the British Empire was a family, then America was the sullen kid who ran away from home after a big fight with it's parents, but everything's cool now and they get along. They do have Australia Day down here, but I don't think it's the same thing.

Getting back to video games (ahem), for those of you old enough to remember, which was better, the Genesis/Mega Drive version of Mortal Kombat, or the SNES? The Sega version had the blood, but the SNES version had the graphics? Well after playing emulated versions all weekend, I can successfully say they're both absolute crap next to the brilliance that is the arcade version. Go play that version again and you'll wonder why you even bothered with the others!
