Several Years Later

I'm back working in Bournemouth for a few weeks. Which feels a bit odd, as not only did I leave five years ago this month, but I started there originally eight years ago this month. Eight years. It feels like yesterday, but the years have just flown by, exactly how everyone said they would. I feel a bit like when I went back to South Florida in that I said I wouldn't go back, but I'm returning on my own terms, and having accomplished quite a lot in my time away. It helps that I'm working with friends, and getting a lift into work!

Alice's Adventures In England

Last weekend, Alice visited England for a few days. Jen and I took her out to dinner, and we had a great time. She then came down to Lymington for the weekend, and Mum & Dad showed her around. It's easy to take for granted all the lovely restaurants in London, but I'm going to find out just how spoilt I am for the next few weeks, as I will be going back to Bournemouth.

A few very good friends of mine all work together a few doors down from where I used to work, so we've agree for me to come and work there for a month and help out. It's going to be great to work with everyone again, and after how corporate it's been at John Lewis, it will be nice to let my hair down for a while.
