A Calmer Brooklyn

I went to a party in Brooklyn last weekend, even though I said I'd never go again after the disastrious trip back on new years. Luckly, this time I had a friend drop me off on her way back to New Jersey. Even though everyone says Williamsburg in Brooklyn is just as extension of the East Village, it has a much calmer feel about it. It's just too bad the L train is crap!

The Secret's Out

So we now know who The Stig is.

It's a bit like revealing who Batman is in a Gotham City newspaper. There are some things that even if you know, you don't reveal. What's going to happen now? Are they going to kill him off again and bring in another Stig? I think it would be cool if they said it wasn't him, and then had him race someone else in The Stig's cosume. Thus even though everyone would still know, if would keep the illusion alive a little longer.

Thinning The Herd

Another friend of mine at work quit as well. It's going to be really strange there soon, as almost everyone who was there when I started, will be gone. Except for upper management, suspiciously.

It's been really cold lately. On friday, it was hovering between 14 and 8 degrees. Now that's fahrenheit, not celcius mind you. It's to the point where you can't breathe if the wind picks up.

I got a digital camera for Christmas, so when Mike was up here we took some sightseeing photographs, and I thought I'd add this one, as it has been requested. So here you go.

Here come the Men In Black.

Safer Than I Thought

I turned in my resignation at work last week. It turns out my job was much safer than I thought, as both of my bosses and the CEO have tried to pursuade me to stay. The CEO even came out with the worst attempt yet, saying "you're too young to be traveling". Riiiiight.

Although she did say she knew of some companies over there, so you never know.

Emergency Ward 10

I had to go to the emergency room yesterday. I had severe upper abdominal pains that were so bad, I couldn't bend over.

Wow, everyone at the hospital was so nice and friendly. I think I'm in love with the two girls who looked after me. When I got there, one of them told me it was my bad diet finally catching up to me. She then gave me a note with all sorts of things I should eat and what I'm supposed to do to make it better.

Then the doctor came through and said I had an aeortic dissection. Which is usually fatal. I was suprised how well I took it actually. I think I just said "Oh. Oh, well." or something like that. Anyway about six hours later, after my CAT scan, they found that I am, in fact, in perfect health and everything's working. So it was probably really bad gas. Let's hope!

Happy 2009!

Or as I heard somone say "Happy birthday, year!"

2009 sounds a bit scary. The last of the Transformers time-traveling adventures ended in 2008, so I guess this really is the future now. It's to the point were it's beyond being a bit creepy and is now downright scary how late into the future we are. Don't know what I'm going to do once 2015 hits. Guess I'll have to go to 'Cafe 80s'! (if you dont get that reference, go watch 'Back to the Future 2' again)

New years was fun. We started drinking in McSorley's (the oldest bar in New York), and headed over to a party in Brookyln, where we say all of manhattan's fireworks at midnight. And then had the worst train ride home in history. I really honestly thought we were stuck in some sort of time warp. It took sooo long!
