A Throwback

Growing up, I was a huge fan of the Beatles. I taped the Anthology of ABC and their movies off PBS, and watched them all many times over the years. At one point in the movie 'Help', the boys are supposed to be in Buckingham Palace. But looking out of the window in the background, it was clear this was not the actual filming location. The Great Lockdown Continues

I've heard it called "The Great Lockdown" or "The Great Shutdown". The latter seems a bit more apt, due to the almost total shutdown of the economy. Virtually every economist in the world is predicting at best a generation to recover, and at worst doomsday. As you'd expect, contracts, and even permanent positions, are hard to come by at this point. Luckily, I'm financially prepared for something like this; regardless of the years of heckling from friends saying I'm paranoid, haha!

It must be terrible for politicians to have to decide if they keep us in lockdown or not. We will be saving lives, but then the question is asked: how many people will die in the resulting economic catastrophe? I'm just glad that Mum & Dad are still safe.

Mum and Dad are now on the vulnerable list, so they're not allowed to go to the supermarket any more.

Meanwhile, the people who live next door, keep going back and forth from their home in Sussex, as well as having someone come over every day during the week, so they are increasing our risk of catching the virus. Which in turn, increases Mum and Dad's risk of getting it as well. Which is adding more stress in a time when more stress is the last thing anyone needs
