We've had snow several times in the last few years, but none quite like the last few days. For one thing, the entire country seemed to shut down. The trains stopped running, and the roads were closed. But the strangest thing of all was the texture of the snow. It was normal, but the top was covered with a layer of ice, which made a loud crunching sound when you walked over it. And you could feel the hard bits of ice digging into the sides of your shoes. Weird!
And in entertainment news, the actor who played the head thug in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie has just won an Oscar! Not for that film, but still nice all the same.
