St. Thomas

The local church finally finished it's renovations, so I thought I'd go down and have a look. The carpet and underfloor heating is nice, but they seem to have carpeted over 500 year old tombs in the chapel floor, which is a bit dissapointing, and although the chairs look better than I thought, the pews had chatacter.

Sound system is cool though.

Uncertain Work

Ever since loads of people got laid off just before Christmas, people have been resigning from work in droves. There's been about 15 in six months. It's one a week this month. My position alone has gone from six to three. Everyone that leaves seems to land on their feet and be in a better position than they were before. Most going to London. It would be a long way to commute if you lived here though, but the pay is much, much more.

Oh and Happy Father's Day to all the Dads in the audience.

Proper Old

Not only am I 28 next week, but around this week ten years ago, I graduated high school.

I recently saw an add for luxury car rentals for class reunions, and they used 'Class of 2001' as an example. Thanks car ad. Thanks for making me feel like an old man.

Down To The Wire

The Miami Heat are tied with the Dallas Mavericks 2-2 in the NBA Finals. It's clearly obvious that ESPN and the rest of American hate the Heat's guts and want them all to fail, but it's going to be difficult for Dallas if the Heat play their best.

Hope it turns out better than the Monaco Grand Prix and the Champions League final.

Super Play

I've just had my first successful eBay purchase: two issues of Super Play magazine from 1994!

If you don't know what Super Play is, then it probably won't interest you. It's an independent English SNES magazine from the early-to-mid 90s, and is the greatest magazine ever made. It was ahead of the curve on everything. A bit like John Peel.
