High Fives All Around

Clare got married on saturday, and had an awesome reception with karaoke and everything. I even realised another childhood dream and karaoked my favourite song ever, 'The One and Only'! No need for lyrics on the screen, I've been practicing that for over 18 years!

And Southampton won the League Trophy! By the largest points margin in the Trophy's histoy, no less!

American Keyboard

My American keyboard arrived at work today. There is a very small difference between they keyboards England uses and the keyboards that the rest of the (at least English-speaking) world uses. I've gotten used to my wide shift and enter keys, so now my pinky fingers don't have to stretch so far any more. Shame the computer I bought last weekend didn't come with the option of a different keyboard layout.

I tried hooking my new computer (my first new computer in over five years and my first new desktop in nearly ten) to the TV, but it didn't work. I just hope I haven't damagd it by shutting it down at the mains twice before I've even had a chance to get it working.

Looking Around

Mum and I looked at a flat in Lymington yesterday. It's a bit of a walk to the station, but nothing outlandish. Seeing as how the whole town is only about a mile wide, nothing is really too far away. We'll see what happens.

Today we're going to Best Buy. I've found out the store in Southampton is one of only two in the whole country. I'm really hoping it isn't a letdown next to the American stores, but I shouldn't be comparing really. I'm just gld it's there!

Mum's Here

Mum's back home. It's mother's day tomorrow as well, so perfect timing!

At one point we're going to look at flat's in Lymington, but I won't be renting one for a while as I'm going to save a bit of money and I want to make sure I'm comfortable at my new job. Have to make sure everything's right!

Live In Person

I just came back from London. It was great to see everyone again and have my fill of exciting, big city life. I also saw a play staring one Miss Keira Knightley.

She looks exactly the same in person as she does in photos and in movies. I don't know why I thought she'd look different, but in case anyone was wondering: yes, she really is that hot in real life.

So if you've had a crush on a Hollywood celebrity for longer than you care to admit, I recommend going to see them in a play!

Big City

I'm going up to London this weekend. After several months down here, I have to admit I'm looking forward to getting back to the trendy life again. There's another reason I'm going to London as well. I'll tell you more when I get back!
