A Bit Like Prom

America has Christmas parties too, but for whatever reason, they seem like a bigger deal over here. Like they're the prom or something. People make an active effort to go out and buy new clothes, and they talk about it quite a lot for ages. I even read that it's "Christmas party season". Like you would about "hurricane season" or "monsoon season". Maybe it's because there's no homecoming dances in England. Maybe the Americans got it all out of their system in high school. Either way, I can't help wondering how much of a fuss Israelis make of "Hanukkah parties".

Hard Choices

It's all been a bit weird lately. I was contacted twice in two days about jobs, despite not inquiring. I turned down one of them due to how rude they were in the interview. The other job is fantastic, but way to far away. Getting up at 5am and home by 7pm is not the sort of lifestyle we should be encouraging.

I have spoken to a few other people regarding jobs, and one of them might be what I'm looking for. But does it tick all the boxes I need? It's strange looking for a job when I've already got one.
