Hulk Hogan's House

I found out the other day that Hulk Hogan's house is just around the corner from where I live. So today I went round to have a look, and to be honest it looks like a fortress. It's surrounded by really high white walls, and my friend said they tore down a really nice, classic miami-style mansion to build it. Shame.

In other news, I got hosed at the oil change place, due to the fact that I've been putting off everything for so long, I had to do it all at once today for a whopping $117! At one point they put my car on some sort of drip, and when I started it up, thick clouds of white smoke poured out of my exhaust pipe. Ewwwww!

Waterspout

I saw a waterspout today for the first time. I always thought seeing my first tornado would be quite scary, but it wasn't I think it was just becuase it was so far away. What was probably more interesting (to me at least) was the fact that I'm now getting on quite well with the person I thought secretly wanted me off the van. So either I was wrong (which wouldn't be the first time) or their elabourate rouse to make me suspect the opposite is indeed, quite crafty.

And no, I haven't gotten the last Harry Potter. I usually wait for paperback. By which point, everyone will have spoilt it for me.

Finally

I've finally gotten a raise. Although it's not as much as I'd like, it's still quite a lot more, with more coming in september, and more in january. Pending reviews apparently.

So now that the financial crisis is, after over a year, over; what do I do now? Do I go out tonight and party? Do I buy a Nintento Wii?

I think I'll take the toll road home if I ever have to drive. Living on a little for a long time lets you learn that you dont need alot to be happy. But it sure as hell helps.

Foreign TV

I've taken to watching tv from abroad, as I can't stand what's on the gogglebox over here. I watch tv for about 15 minutes in the morning, but even that doesn't seem to have anything to say for itself. Now I tend to watch what people say is great across the pond. I watched all of the brilliant "Life on Mars", which is the best show since "The Office.", as well as shows I start to watch when I'm over, and then wish to see all the way through.

Although I don't go so far as to watch "Big Brother". I do have some dignity left!

Haircut

I got my haircut today becuase it was getting quite long and its very hot here at the moment. I went to my beer barber becuase they are all professionals and wear fancy coats and things, so I know even if it's not the cut I want, it'll be done well.

It wasn't the cut I wanted and I've gone from looking like a wannabe rockstar, to a wannabe nerd. At least my hair grows quickly.

Back From Britain

Thanks to everyone for making it such a blast. And Jethro was fantastic! Well worth the five hours it took to drive over there. We were sitting right up at the front as well, so we should be on the video when it comes out. The lights we're really bright though, so I probably won't look my best.

It seems like England waits till I'm home before it unleashes all it major events at once. New Prime Ministers, terrorist attacks, concerts; they all happened while I was there. Let's just say it was a jolly good thing I left for Heathrow from London so I could take the tube, as apparently traffic getting in was absolute chaos.

Oh yeah, I had two cans of Fuller's London Pride on the plane, which I didn't think airlines carried.
