Sorry For The Delay

Sorry for the rather large gap between posts (the longest one yet, so I haven't done too bad), things have been all go since last time.

I'm here at Ollie's house, and his brother Robin's only gone a bought an R33 Skyline GT-S! I wouldn't been suprised if one day he came in and said he was marrying the princess of Belgium. Just the sort of lad he is.

Anyway, getting nervous about the move, having to get interviews lined up and finding a place that's affordable and not too loud. Good luck, eh?

Live \from Holland

Hi. I'm live here in Holland!

The funniest thing happened yesterday. To protect the guilty, I'll change the names. I was out with "person s" visiting people. When we stopped to get out, I turned to look in the back to say something to the young child of "person s", only to find a cigerette in her mouth and a priceless "wtf are you gonna do about it" look on her face.

I wish the lousy phone I bought in Britain had a camera on it, just for times like that.

Oh and it's cold in Europe. Really cold. I think I'm in for a wake up call in nyc.

200th and The Last Post From The Beach

Well, it's my 200th post, and the final one from South Beach.

Me and the neighbours have been outside talking for hours these past few evenings, and tonight I went for a walk accross the causeway, thinking about how much I'm going to miss The Beach. I should really thank Lucia for finding the place I lived in, becuase it certainly wouldn't have been as much fun if I had lived anywhere else.

I'll always have a soft spot for The Beach, becuase even though I went to London first when I graduated, here is where I first really made it on my own, and nothing can ever take that away from it. So I leave tomorrow with many, many fond happy memories of a place that truly lives up to its hype, and impresses you greatly, but still is laid back enough that it doesn't seem to care. I can't help thinking about what Scarlett Johansson said to Bill Murray at the end of 'Lost in Translation'.

"Let's never return becuase it will never be this fun."

Yeah!

I just did something I've wanted to do for months!

I walked along Venetian Caseway, looking at all the big luxury mansions on the water with their yaughts, I saw the palm trees silhouetted against the lights from the skyscrapers of downtown Miami, and I listened to Crocket's Theme from 'Miami Vice'! Yeah!

Then I listened to Phil Collins! "I can feel it coming in in the air tonight"!

Do I Really?

Last saturday evening, the power went out on our island, so I went to Books & Books for a sandwich for dinner. All the waitresses on Lincoln Road are trained to lightly flirt with you to get a bigger tip, but for some reason my waitress was being really creepy about it and getting right up close and stairing me right in the eyes. Finally when I paid my bill, she said,

"Do you know who you look like?"

Now I've been asked this before, and normally told (by gay men mostly) that I look like Mark Wahlberg. A skinny Mark Wahlberg obviously. But no. She said,

"Do you know ABBA? The pop group? You look like one of the guys from ABBA."

"I hope that's a compliment." I responded.
