Volcano-a-go-go

Mum flew back to America yesterday and landed safe and sound.

Europe really has been in a bit of a tiswas this last week. I always seem to be right in the centre of all the drama. What with that apocalyptic dust cloud in Sydney and everything. The one good thing that came out of all this is that the skies were perfectly cloud free. Now the jets are going again, it's borderline overcast with all the jet trails everywhere.

Grown Up Internet

I've finally gotten real, grown up internet! I haven't had this since I left New York last febuary! No more of that limited download Aussie rubbish or this mobile internet I've been putting up with here!

It's so fast, pages seem like they load out of the cache! 20mps! I don't know what I was on with Time Warner in America, but this seems just as fast, if not faster!

Finding A Local

Since I've been back, whenever we go out for drinks, it's usually at the Angel Inn in the high street. But it was so dead last night we went down the the King's Head, and found out it was actually better. And they actually clean their pipes too!

I don't know if anyone else has been watching the awesome "Delicious Miss Dahl", but it's awesome. I haven't learned anything about cooking, but I've learnt a thing or two about being fully seduced!

The Prodigal Son Retuns

But not without hiccups.

There was the fiasco with the bed not fitting together properly and the mattress being ripped. And now it's my weird washing machine that seems to wash clothes without you telling it to.

But still, I'm home! I even get to travel on the last slamdoor train in the country! Admittedly there getting rid of it next month (savages!) but at least I'll be here when it goes. So for now, I'll just pretend I'm in 'The Railway Children' or something.
