No Post This Week

No post this week I'm afraid...

But I will say with Euro 2008 coming up, time to go and buy a KNVB football shirt!

Construction Site

There's a construction site opposite, and they've ripped the back off the building so I can see inside. One slighly worrying thing to notice is that the floors are essentially just long planks of wood. That's it. No brick or stone to hold them up. Seeing as how most of the buildings around here were probably built the same way around 120 years ago, the fact that the only thing stopping me and everyone else falling five stories down to our doom is a few bits of dead wood, I can't help but feel slightly uneasy...

Edit: After about five months of being here, I just saw my first celebrity. John Legend and his very attractive female companion walked passed me on the street and then had lunch at the cafe next to where I was eating. Oooooooh!

Festival Mania

These past couple of weeks, there has been a street fair of some sort or another every weekend. Today it escilated to a mini carnival on one street, and a Ukranian pagent-type-thing on another. Insanity!

I also beat the awesome "No More Heroes" for Wii, and it lets you play through on the next highest difficulty with all the gear you had when you beat the game. Just like "Chrono Trigger".

Oh and today in football, to quote King George III;

"Nothing of any importance happened today."

What A Day!

Today is awesome!

I've just bought the 1995 Nike Air Zoom Flight "Jason Kidd's" that I've been lusting after for over twelve years, the weather is perfect, I've seen an uncharacteristiclly high number (for NY) of hot girls today, including two lesbian models on the train, and I've played the beans out of the supremely awesome "No More Heroes" this weekend!

To top it all off, Troy and I are going to see 'Iron Man' tonight, which everyone tells me is the best comic book movie ever. Today rules!

Brilliant Weekend

I was talking with my friends at work today and I realised, I had a brilliant weekend!

The Saints managed to avoid religation at the last minute, I had a blinding night out saturday, and I bought one of the best video games I've played in ages on sunday: "No More Heroes"!

And to top it all off, at work today, I did two things I thought would take me a week in about 5 hours! Result!

Saturday Morning

At 7:45 this morning, workers started working on the abandoned building behind this one. Whatever union they're in, they should probably seek to get new leadership, as I'm pretty sure they're as annoyed as I was about getting up early on a saturday.

Speaking of politics, everyone favourite celbrity-politician Boris Johnson just got elected mayor fo London! He's the chap who, when on 'Top Gear' doing his lap, accidently hit the horn and then uttered "Who tooted at me?"
