Preparing To Return

I've been preparing a lot recently for my return to England. I've been checking out job sites, apartment sites, car sites, and everything. I'm planning on being more prepared this time. I know I said that the last two times I moved, but let's hope this time my preparations will make a difference. At least I don't have to worry about lodgings this time around, as I can use Mum & Dad's flat until I get my own place. But as long time readers know, I need a job before I can get an apartment. And I'm not quite sure how many jobs are actually out there...

Potter Weekend

I'm planning on reading the last of the Harry Potter books this weekend, so I've written the whole weekend off. I'll still go to my cafe and read my Tintin and Asterix comics.

Quiz night is still going, and we keep getting third. Which is good I suppose. At least we're not coming in last.

Apocalypse Sydney

I woke up this morning to a red sky. I just lay in bed and thought "This is it. It's the Apocalypse." Then I realised that people outside seemed to be taking the end of the world quite well. So I looked out the window and discovered it was actually a sand storm.

But seriously. I thought it was like that scene out of 'Constantine'!

Mum Left Safely

Mum left safely this morning after an action-packed visit. We had a bit of a worry as we were told the flight left on tuesday and wednesday. In the end it turns out it was wednesday, but when Mum got to the counter, they said it was tuesday, but let her fly anyway. Yeah, that's what I was thinking: "What the hell"?

Bit of a quiet weekend for me now then. Think I might go to the movies. And check out some of the TVs I've been oogling on the internet for purchase back in England!

D-Day Has A Date

D-Day is back. The day I return to Europe has a date. I shall touch down in Paris on November 12th. I will then spend the day there, and go back to England on the Channel Tunnel the next day.

For those of you who have been reading along since day one, this has been a long time coming I know, but it will be here soon enough. Let's just hope I have better luck second time around, eh?

Last Weekend

Last saturday night, I was karaoke singing with a load of drunk Aussies along to "Land Down Under". Trip complete? Well I'd say so! It's one of those things that I can tell stories about forever!

New People

Mum and I are going down south to Wollongong this weekend to visit the family and see our new cousin/nephew. I haven't been down in a while, so it will be nice to see everyone. Mum is going to stay down untill wednesday, when everyone's going to be back in Sydney and we can do the pub quiz again.
