A Very Different Thanksgiving
The last few years, we've gone to see our friends in South Florida for Thanksgiving. Because of Dad's condition, that wouldn't be possible this year, so a few of them we going to fly out to see us, which would have been so lovely and thoughtful. Except the ol' coronavirus lockdown has put the kibosh on that too!
Dad was still involved with the cooking of the feast, though. As he and Mum were acting as head chefs in the kitchen, while Jen and I prepared all of the food. Afterwards, we all exchanged fun little presents, and it still felt like a Thanksgiving, despite being fewer people this year.
Then today, on the infamous "Black Friday", Jen is working all day, and I needed to jumpstart the Range Rover, as its battery had gotten flat. Unfortunately, the GT-R with all it's power, couldn't get the job done, as it has a notoriously small battery. So I used that as an excuse to give my old friend Oliver a call. So he came to the rescue with his proper Land Rover Discovery Series II, and we got it started just fine.
