Finally. The Parade.

I've been watching The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for 16 years now. And tomorrow morning I finally get to see it live. I'm not sure where I'm going to see it, as Herald Square is closed off, but I'm going to see it, and that's the main thing.

Even if it rains, I won't mind. I just hope I get a good spot. I wouldn't mind seeing Al Roker somewhere as well!

Mum and Dad come up tomorrow and we're taking a tour of New England. Lets see how this "New" Hampshire compares with the real Hampshire!

Winter In High Gear

The other morning I was walking to work and I noticed lots of either pollen or leaves in the air. it turns out I was wrong on both counts, as it was snow.

Yes, winter has gone into overdrive here. It was something like 13 degrees farenheight with the wind chill the other morning. Tomorrow it's supposed to be even colder.

Brrrrr!

Oh and I saw the new Bond film and it is great. Officially.

The Wizard Of Oz

I've kept this quiet (at least on here), but now that it's all been sorted I can officially reveal...

I'm going off to Sydney, Australia next march!

The Australian Embassy in Washington approved my application in record time (although they screwed up the first time), and now it is all settled.

We'll, the visa is. I still need to buy a ticket, find a place to live, and find a job. What sucks is that I can only work for six months with one company. I think job agencies are exempt from that rule. I'll have to look it up.

New Overlord

In case you've spent the last week living on Mars, in a cave, with your ears covered and your eyes shut, America has a new leader. And that leader is Obama!

Whew! And not a moment too soon either. It's a shame becuase McCain was so cool before he started running this time. I think you can pinpoint the moment he sold his soul when 'The Daily Show' said "The Straight Talk Express has pulled into Bullshit Town".

If you watch the Food Network (don't we all), I'm going to a taping of one of their shows downtown today. (I'm going to be a background extra in a party scene. Don't ask.) It's supposedly going to air next year, so be on the lookout.

Hamilton Does It!

You didn't think I wasn't going to talk about it did you?

The youngest Formula 1 Champion in history. And he seems like a really nice bloke as well. Good for him. I think he's been training long enough for it. He was on Blue Peter when he was about four or five I think.

Daylight savings time is over here now, so I get home in the dark. But still, Christmas is coming!

Childhood Fantasy: Fulfilled.

Yesterday, I did something I've wanted to do since I was about three.

I walked around New York in broad daylight dressed as a Ghostbuster.

I have to admit the costume cost a little more than I was expecting, but seeing as how I won a $75 bottle of champagne at work, I think it evened out in the end. We then went to the annual halloween parade. I was quite suprised how many people recognised who I was and were shouting "Yeah! Ghostbusters!" My friends rekon although a few other people were wearing the same cosutme, I pulled it off the best.

I just won at life.
