A Posh Getaway

This past weekend, Jen and I went to the very fancy Chewton Glenn, just outside New Milton. We stayed in a treehouse that had a jacuzzi on it's balcony. We also had spa treatments as well, and dinner in the posh restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the service (which isn't always a guarantee, even at the finest of establishments), was top notch. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Not only that, the whole trip was complimentary, as Jen was going on a press trip! How cool is that!

Now if I could just find a new contract, haha!

Yet Another Year Older

This past weekend, I turned 'strain my back when putting on socks' years old. And I woke up Sunday with bloodshot eyes, for some reason. Which is odd, as I've never had that before ever. One possible explanation is polyester sheets. Jen is cat sitting in London, and I went up for a few days to keep her company. But they had polyester sheets on the spare bed, which might have aggravated my eyes, as I sleep with a pillow over my head, due to being a light sleeper.

I also received a massive blow to my masculinity, as there is a local neighborhood "bully" cat, who harasses the cats we were sitting. I tried to scare him, off, but he just looked at me and meowed. Is this really how far I've fallen? I can't even scare off a cat?

Downtime

Now that I'm free again, I'm "puttering around the house" as folks used to say. Now that I'm only really saving to pay off the mortgage, and for retirement, I'm not as stressed in between contracts. I've got a little bit to tide me over, and after going to the doctors for stress, I need to start being a bit more "tranquilo", as they say south of the border. It's time to stop and smell the roses

I think my garage is crooked, as no matter how many times I try to put my car in straight, I always have to get out of the passenger side door. Whenever I walk passed someone with a larger garage than me, I have to admit I get slightly envious. Speaking of the car, I've just found out how much the next service will cost. Ouch.
