Back In England

After a week in South Florida, I'm back home in England. Luckily, I got to work from home on Monday, which was a good thing based on how jetlagged I was. It hasn't been that bad in a long time!

It was great seeing everyone again. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Alice & Carl's, and on Friday the guys came down from Orlando for Jerome's bachelor party. They didn't know I was over, so it was a nice surprise for all!

Back For The First Time In 5 Years

It does feel very strange being back. There have been quite a few changes, but it's still the same South Florida I remember. You can't spend all those years here and not have some sense of familiarity.

What I think is funniest is that the radio playlists haven't changed a bit. It's still the exact same songs they were playing 25 years ago!

I Just Can't Stay Away

Next week I'm off to South Florida for Thanksgiving. This is the longest I've ever been away from Florida in my entire life. It's been four years, so I suspect a lot has changed. But I'll bet traffic is still just as bad!

Parsons Green

It's the question you're all (probably) wondering. How is the new accommodation in Parsons Green?

So far so good. It's really quiet, which is a blessing after most of the other places I've stayed. The bathroom is in dire need of updating, but the landlords know this, and are planning on renovating it sometime before the end of the year. The cat and dog who live there are both very friendly as well. The only real downside is that it's quite a few more stops on the Underground. Although even that isn't too bad. It adds about 10-15 minutes of travel time in each direction. I do have to leave even earlier than I thought, though. This is due to how crowded the station gets in the morning. Overpopulation is a real problem in London.
