Oscars

It's the Oscar's tonight, so I'll definatley be watching that.

Things went quite well in my interview earlier in the week. It took about four hours as I had to meet with everybody in the department, but I think I got on well with them. They even took me to lunch!

In other, equally as exciting news, I've started doing my laundry on saturday instead of sunday, so I now have the whole day free. Thrilling stuff.

Winter's Here

For a bit anyway. It's been very cold over the last few days. but suprisingly, I stillc an't see my breath like I could in England over Christmas.

It's the big day tomorrow. I'm off to Office Depot to get my cv printed on fancy paper so I look really legit when I walk in tomorrow. I'm also a little worried about my hair. It only seems to look good on weekends, or if I shower at night. I'd like to go in looking like a rock star, but I'd rather look like Jay Kay than Peter Frampton.

Things might be changing!

First off though, blogger or blogspot (whatever this thing is called) has just overhauled itself and it's now full of adds. Sorry, Google just seems to be getting commericalised and naff. It also seems this is showing up places on the internet it shouldn't, such as search engines. I'll see what I can do...

Anywho I have a job interview next monday that will probably conflict with whenever I schedule my dentist appointment. Or they'll overlap or something. As usual. And I'm in need of a good dentisting, as I haven't been in over a year and a half.

Keeping you up to date

Here's what's happened in the last few days.

I got in contact with the biggest ad firm in Miami and applied for a job doing Flash/web stuff and they sent me an email wanting to get in contact with me. I had a chat with the someone there today, and it doesn't look as good as I'd hoped. It's only a temporary freelance position for one thing (which now makes it utterly pointless) and he didn't really sound like he had much of a sense of humour.

Super Bowl Sunday

It's the Super Bowl today, and for the upteenth time it's down here in Miami. Fans of the Chicago Bears and the Inndianapolis Colts have decended on the city, and it's a bit mad. Ocean Drive has been closed off all weekend, and it's been a non-stop party since thursday night.

It's raining today though, and I haven't managed to get over on the beach yet. I was going to watch the game on some giant projector down on Ocean Drive, but I'm not sure if I'll go now, don't fancy getting wet. Might just go for a drink next door.

One thing I have noticed, these out of town folks like their limos. I saw more limos last night than I've ever seen in my life. Us locals like to drive our Bentleys ourselves thank you very much. Although I did see a childs-paint-set-primary-color-blue BMW 745 and Rolls Royce Phantom. I didn't know either of those cars came in such a color, but then again, if you can afford one, you can afford your own paint job.
