The Church Of Cinema

I try to limit the number of times I got to the movies these days. It's expensive, difficult to get to, and people normally talk the whole time. Which is a shame because I always feel at home when I'm in a movie theatre. It exciting and calming at the same time.

Boy am I glad I went to see The Wolf of Wall Street. First off, the whole film is like one long party, and not only that, but hardly anyone talked or checked their phones. Hallelujah!

Oop North

During the week of Christmas, we went up North to see Dan, Tom, & Melanie. It was great seeing them again, and I have to say how much I was impressed by everyone I met. There's a saying "it's grim up north" but I found the opposite to be true. Everyone was very friendly and they have somehow been able to keep their gorgeous pre-war architecture.

It also highlighted just how snobbish people can be down south.
