Reunion

We had a family reunion at Upper Hamble Park, or whatever it's called now. I remember we used to have them when we came back in the 90's so it was interesting to see the people that came to those and who was there today.

It was also the last episode of 'Last of the Summer Wine'. I didn't realise it had aquired quite a cast towards the end of its run. Russ Abbot, Elizabeth from 'Keeping Up Appearances' and Mr. Lucas from 'Are You Being Served' all seem to be regulars.

Bournemouth Air Show

Sorry for the lack of updates last week. It's been a bit hectic at work.

But it was the Bournemouth Air Show this weekend. We got the afternoon off (which was nice) and went down to the Royal Bath Hotel to watch the show. Because it was cloudy, the planes were limited to what they could do. Still, nice to see the Red Arrows again after all this time.

Train Hobos

The other day on the train, the rarely used announcement came on that said "beggars sometimes ride the train, don't give them money."

Everyone on board laughed and one girl went "how rude!"

One of my friends pointed out that they'd have a hard time getting on in the first place as many stations have barriers to stop you getting on without a ticket. And to avoid those awkard 'Casablanca' style goodbyes.

Holidays 2010

Mum's coming over on tuesday. It's all right for some, eh? Jetsetting between homes in England and Florida! Then, at the end of september, for the first time ever, I'm going to America on holiday. Every other time I've ever gone, it's been to live. I even have to get travel insurance!

Deja Vu

Saskia, Paul & the kids are over here in England on holiday and we went out for dinner last sunday. We went to an Italian restraunt in the high street that I have often seen, but have never been in to. I didn't realise how far back it went, but I was actually more suprised it was open on a sunday! Everything else seems to be closed on sundays and during weeknights. I'm looking at you, bank!
