The Rollercoaster Continues
I managed to get approved for the mortgage, and locked in an interest rate that, while not the best on the market, is lower than I had planned. Things are looking up in that department. Now it's going to be valued and inspected by the bank. Fingers crossed.
And just a public service announcement: as much as I sometimes wish it was still the 20th century, it isn't. It's 2015. While we don't yet have flying cars, we do have online banking. If you're a multinational Fortune 500 company and you still pay your contractors by physical paper checks, you need to get on board with this "internet" thing. I think it's going places.
