Results

The england match was ok. Rooney probably should have been awarded a free kick after they double teamed him in the penalty box and this proves england need Lennon on the whole time to back up Rooney up front.

But the Netherlands / Portugal match...

I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions. Needless to say, everyone in the pub was speechless.

Back from Orlando

and I look mum's car. Despite this, it still set me back nearly $100 and my brakes cost about $280 to fix. Oh well.

I've got the day off today to watch the football, but it's an unwise move seeing as how I need to up my current funds. Ah, the World Cup's only every four years, hopefully it wont make that big of a dent.

I was very suprised by that USA game. Who'da thought they had it in 'em.

Edit: Today, I met someone from, you guess it, Middleburg. Talk about a small world.

Also, several people in the pub reckon I look like Rudd Van Nistelrooy. I don't know...

Brake Problems

My brakes have gone. To be specific, it's my brake master cylinder. Which means I can't brake very well in traffic, and what with the new job I started today where I actually have to drive to and from work again, that kinda sucks.

I've parted ways with my old job (apparently I was "too expensive") and I have started working at independent company just around the corner from my old one. Which is going to set me back about $50 a week in tolls and gas.

This also means I can't go to Orlando this weekend, becuase I need to spend the time and money I was going to use up there, on getting my car fixed. Just for once, I'd love to see things go right for more than five minutes.

But england and holland did win their respective matches. Even though Alonso won the british grand prix (again) and the heat lost.

Oh and it's my birthday friday. And Mum's thursday. And father's day sunday.

Awwwww

I was walking home today and I was wearing a yellow bandana on my head. As I walked past Publix, this cute little girl of about 2 or 3 started looking at me and smiling. Then she said to her mum,

"He looks like a pirate."

Going to the Finals

The Miami Heat basketball team are going to the NBA Finals for the first time ever!

DunDunDunDunDUUUUUNNN!!

It's a really big deal. Even if you don't like the Heat. Or basketball for that matter. Speaking of sport, England beat Jamaica 6-0 yesterday. Looks like the absence of Rooney won't be such a big deal after all.

Oh and see 'The Break-Up', with Mr. Awesome himself, Vince Vaughn. There was one scene where I was laughing for about ten minutes straight.
