Adventures In Seville

Last week Jen and I went to Seville for a few days. We stayed at a fantastic hotel and had a lovely time. The food was amazing, and there was jamón ibérico everywhere. What made it even better was the cultural heritage festival happening at the same time. This meant that everywhere you looked there were horse drawn carriages and women wearing traditional flamenco outfits. We were a stone's throw from the bull fighting ring as well, and could hear the cheering from out balcony.

Repairs Complete

The Range Rover's headlight (which had been broken for several weeks now), is finally fixed. And the boiler has been repaired after being broken since last year. The shower always runs lukewarm at best, but the engineer last year said it was because the pipes were cold. Turns out that it's due to a blockage that sends the hot water down the pipe to the radiators instead of the taps. So after three separate trips to fix the problem (and $95 wasted on a part that wasn't needed), I can finally have a hot shower again.

Time Out

I had three and a half days I needed to take as holiday before April, so I five and a half day weekend last weekend. With Easter approaching, I'm also going to have a four day weekend next weekend. Goodie gumdrops.

Meanwhile, Jen and I were planning holidays for the end of the month and later this year. But what with the impending jet fuel crisis from this clearly never-ending new war that's been introduced. I'm not sure we're going to make it. This time around, I don't have the cool car for the apocalypse.
