At The Station

Man United lost and so did McLaren. But it was nice to see Lewis Hamilton gets as pissed off at work as I do.

Guess who was at Brockenhurst station this morning! Michael Portillo, filming more 'Great British Railway Journeys'! I love that show! Shame he was on the other platform. You can be sure his train wasn't late!

Big Sports

Tonight is the Champions League Final between Barcelona and Manchester United. It's the biggest deal in club football between arguably the two most popular sports teams on Planet Earth (or at least Europe).

Then tomorrow we've got the Monaco Grand Prix; the crown jewel in the Formula 1 calendar and the highlight of the championship season. Can the pluky Brits snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and stop the Germans from getting another world title?

Probably not, but we'll watch anyway.

Nectar Of The Gods

Instead of normal Robinson's Blackcurrant cordial in the kitchen, last week we had Ribena.

I haven't had any Ribena in a while, but it just reassured me that it is truley the greatest drink ever concocted. It tastes so good you almost can't drink it fast, as you want to savour every drop.

Apparently this was just a one off and next week it's back to normal.

Stationmaster

If you live in England, you might have caught the story of Lymington's station master getting the sack. It's been on national news and in the Daily Mail too. Radio Solent had an outside broadcast truck there and talked about all day long.

He shouldn't have been sacked for that, but according to the lady organizing the petition, I was the only person who remembers being repeatedly sold the wrong ticket by him. For months on end.

Power To The People

Just had more elections. Britain voted "no" on alternative voting, but Scotland seems to have voted in the Scottish National Party. Are they going to break away from the union and form their own country?

Lymington's Town Council and District councillors are all still Tory. We're a bit of a safe bet for them.
