Left In A Cab

When I first got back to England, I bought an umbrella (-ella, -ella) with a really cool handle that looked like a gear shifter. Sadly, on friday night I left it in the back of a taxi from Brockenhurst to Lymington (as the trains had stopped). I know in the grand scheme of things, loosing something like that is no big deal, and the universe will continue to go about its business as its been doing for billions of years.

But it was a really nice umbrella.

Mario's Back

Since I've gotten my Wii hooked up, it's been non-stop Super Mario Galaxy 2 this week. One thing I have learned, is that if you buy batteries from the pound shop, they don't last very long. And by 'not very long' I mean about four hours.

Once Mario's finished, there's a whole host of games that have come out over the last two years I need to plow through.

Good News

Finally, some good news to report. The new power cable I bought for thew Wii works! So far anyway. The annoying bit is that it arrived on friday and I missed the email. So I could have been playing it all weekend! Oh well...

European Power

I brought my Wii back with me from America, and a transformer to plug it into. But sadly when I plugged it all in, the power supply blew up. Now this is a shame, as it means the transformer doesn't work, but it's not a total loss, as apparently all I need to do is buy an English power supply, and the Wii can do the rest.

This is one of those times I really, really hope the internet is right.

Back From America

Got back from America yesterday, after a seven hour flight and a four hour journey home. That bus driver couldn't have been doing more than 45 at most. If I left Heathrow at 9:30, I shouldn't be pulling into Southampton at 11:45, just in time for me to miss my train that connects at Brockenhurst. Then I have a pile of bills await me when I get home.

Oh well. At least I got the afternoon off to watch all the "Phineas & Ferb" I wanted.

Back From Orlando

I'm back from my weekend in Orlando. Everyone seems to be doing really well. And everyone seems to be really grown up. Our college days really are far behind us. I even drove slowly on the turnpike. But at least I got out of the way of other cars. Something I still get annoyed with, no matter how old I get.
