Letting The Side Down

Rather annoyingly, the three Real Ghostbusters cels I purchased 18 months ago, and hung in the spare room, have faded. The black ink outlines have all gone, just leaving the colours underneath. This is really strange, as the He-Man one in my bedroom is fine. Part of me thinks this might be because He-Man was made in America, and Ghostbusters was made in Japan, so maybe the Americans used better ink.

This is really quite heartbreaking, as they've existed in perfect condition for 30 years, only for me, the guy who adores 80s cartoons, to ruin them. Not much I can do about it now.

Masked Man

Since we're going to be required to wear masks from next week, I've bought a few geeky ones. One of the looks like Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat, and two are wrestling ones. Trouble is, they're coming from America, so it's going to take ages for them to arrive. Oh well.

Some friends of ours from London are down here in Lymington for a few days, so I just went down to visit them on the quay. They're planning on doing some cycling around Brockenhurst to look for donkeys. Ah, it's the simple things that make life worth living!

England Emerges

Pubs, shops, and hairdressers have now reopened. But not beauty salons, so no foot massages, which is a shame.

There were fears that people might go mad on drink, and cause trouble. But, in this part of the country, that doesn't seem to be the case. Most places look quite empty. Which is a good thing, in a way. The landlord of my local pub said if they don't have a few profitable summer months, they'll go bust. Something tells me we're not going 100% back to normal for quite some time.
