People On My Train

I can't help but notice there's way more people on the train these past few days. Someoneone told me it's becuase school's out. Working in Bournemouth probably means I get the lion's share of kids going to the beach.

The New Forest Show is also on, so my Lymington Train is packed as well. I wonder if they still do ferret racing.

Big Money Ballers

There's alot of money in the New Forest. But due to English culture looking down on ostentatious displays of wealth, there arn't as many flash cars as you'd think. People instead buy massive country homes.

Theres one big estate that the train passes, but its back garden was always a mess and looked a bit like a pikey camp site. Until last week when I noticed a Bentley Continental GT, a Range Rover Sport, and a Ferrari F430 sitting around. So either he's having a mid-life crisis, or he's just got divorced and wants to impress the neighbours.

Shouldn't Have Bothered

The carnival was a bit of a letdown. We all agreed that Sway's from twenty years ago was better, and we've got video proof. Lymington & Pennington only seemed to be able to wheel out about five trailers. They even had to bring in two from Milford-on-sea. The whole thing lasted about fifteen minutes.

Going to see 'Inception' today, which is supposed to be amazing. Like all Chris Nolan films (ok, 'Insomnia' wasn't all that, but the rest were great).

Edit: It, along with everything else, was sold out. But this morning I did make the most epic bacon sandwich that you ever saw. So the day wasn't a total loss.

Further Developments

The guy that got arrested somehow made it out of jail less than two weeks later and moved back in. I then recieved a letter from the landlord saying something along the lines of "yeah, we're aware of the situation and we're trying to evict him". At least they keep you in the loop.

Lymington Carnival tonight. Somehow get the feeling it'll be more like Sway Carnival, and less like Antigua Carnival. Guess I'll leave my blue paint at home.

Big Sports

The Miami Heat have not only resigned Dwayne Wade, and signed Chris Bosh, but they have also signed LeBron James. In case you're unaware, LeBron James is the biggest sports personality in America. He's all over the place and has endorsements from just about everyone. Having all three means the Heat are now the most hated team in basketball. Whatever. Haters gonna hate and all that.

Oh and I won't mention the World Cup final. I'll leave you to make up your own minds on that one.

Arrested Development

The other day the police came and arrested my neighbour. I don't know what it was for, but he didn't go without a fight. They threatened to tazer him.

Of all the places I've lived, I never thought it would happen here.

Modern World

Just got back from a great weekend in Holland.

As you know, I don't like the trains in England, or Southampton Airport, but I must admit they made up for past sins today. From the moment the plane touched down, to the moment I walked in the front door was less than an hour.

Good show!

That's More Like It

The Dutch have beaten Brazil. Everything is up for grabs now.

I arrived over here yesterday in 90°F weather. This is the first time I have been in weather this hot since those New York heat waves two years ago. It was weird to be sweating again, but then I told myself "Oh yeah, now I remember how much I don't like this weather".

But it is good beach weather.
