Adventures In Scotland

The whole way up to Edinburgh, I kept thinking things like "what will the time difference be when we get there", "what currency do they use", "what language do they speak", and "what do their number plates look like". Obviously, the answer to all these things is "the same as ours".

Edinburgh really highlights how overcrowded London has become. It has wonderful architecture, and really feels much more medieval. We got the chance to see giant pandas at the zoo, and to our surprise, they were filming the new Avengers movie just around the corner from our hotel! Sadly, we didn't see the stars, but did get woken up by the production trucks. Oh well.

North Of The Wall

Next weekend, Jen and I are going to Edinburgh. I know a few people who have been, and they've all said nice things. Plus, the Old Town has a lot of classical architecture, which I love. This will also be the furthest north in the world I've ever been. The furthest south was when I went to visit Matt in Melbourne. I remember singing that Kaiser Chiefs song "Oh my God I can't believe I've never been this far away from home", which was, of course, true.
