A regular Jason Bourne

I went for my interview for citizenship today. I answered questions about America and my past. She kept on asking me if I'd ever been arrested. I think she thought I was some sort of international crime lord. It would have been an exciting career choice, but I'm afraid the hours just conflict with my schedule.

Status Report

Mum and Dad got the worst of the storm apparently. Dad says the garden is a complete mess, but they're OK and I think the house is as well. Up here there wasn't any damage at all, and I got the day off work. So... every cloud has a silver lining eh?

Edit: Checking around south florida newspapers and tv channels, it appears the area where Mum and Dad live got most tree damage. But a LOT of tree damage. Areas closer to downtown had a lot more damage, probably due to stricter building codes. I'll try to keep you posted.

This is just taking the piss. It was so nice to be in Europe and not have to worry about these sort of things. Still, there's nothing much I can do about it is there.

What's been happening...

Here at work, I've been learning new programs and programming languages. It's pretty cool. Meanwhile, I'm still out looking for a job in videogames. I've sent off a barrage of emails to just about everyone today. So we'll see what's going to happen during the week. If nothing does happen, then those poor bastards are gonna get another barrage. And another. And abother. Untill then interview me, where they'll be so bowled over by what I've got to offer, they'll fall over themselves to hire me. I hope.

Back from Gainsville

Just got back from Gainsville, the town I've never had a bad time in. The tradition continues but it was a lot more mellow this time around. Although my good buddy Scott did all the film for it!

I'm at Work

Yes, you read that corrctly. I'm at work at an internet ad agency. Score.

Progress

I've gotten an intership with an internet ad agency that my friend works for. It's pretty cool. The kind of cool I'd love even more if I didn't want to make videogames so bad. If I wind up working here, it wouldn't be so bad. It's all really trendy inside, with their Macs and fancy furniture. The kind of techy place you hear about on the news. Work starts at 9 in the morning though. Come on people.

I'm going to Gainsville next weekend for Gator Growl. My buddy Scott did all the movies for it, so we're going to cheer him on.
